El Leon, La Bruja, y El Armario

At the end of the week, to finish the week of VBS and "The King is Coming," the youth at La Vid, with help from the team from St. Louis and our family, put on a dramatic production of El Leon, La Bruja, y El Armario (The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe) by C.S. Lewis. The Holliday kids had some big lines, like "Viva Narnia!" :-)

Look for James as a centaur, Susannah as a minotaur, Lydia as a soldier, and Sarah as an oso polar (polar bear)...

Laredo 2012

I had to go back into the archives to remember how many years we've been going to Iglesia La Vid in Laredo...
Our first trip was in the summer of 2007 (for those of you who know us well, go back to those pictures and see those kids we used to know... they grow in 5 years time!)

It was our delight to be back at La Vid again this summer, serving alongside the church family and short-term teams. The kids helped with VBS and some painting and small construction. Tim led the teams, and I taught the Bible lesson to the 7-10 year old kids.
As always, I am certain we received much more than we gave.
