Finneas

A hearty welcome goes out to Finneas, the newest member of the household. We will call him "Finn"- a good name for a fish, we all think. (some other options were Jenny, but he's a he, and Garfunkle, but we have no Simon...)

Finn is a Betta and he's blue, but that's a little bit hard to tell in the picture. So far, Finn is staying pretty low in the bowl; he seems to like the rocks and the plants. We have moved him to be against an indoor wall- with the single digit temperatures we are experiencing, we were worried the exterior walls might be too cold for Finn.

Our last Betta, Prince Christian, was a vigorous guy- he survived a week of Vacation Bible School and then nearly three years more before going belly up last summer. We're hopeful for Finn's life expectancy, too.
